Law enforcement is dangerous work. All TSTA members receive free legal counsel should they encounter any issue arising from the good faith performance of their duty and for any arbitrary or unreasonable administrative action while employed. We got your back!

TSTA commissioned members and their spouses receive no-cost consultation, preparation, and execution of an individualized will and testamentary trust, general durable power of attorney, healthcare power of attorney, and living will directive to physicians.

TSTA is now advocating for all DPS employees, directly lobbying on bills that affect the good faith performance of an officer's duty, an officer's safety, family, retirement benefits, and employment conditions and benefits. What happens at the Capitol deeply impacts everyone in law enforcement, especially those in this critical state agency. We are there in the halls, fighting for you.

TSTA provides direct financial assistance to its members and their families who are affected by a natural disaster, critical injury or death in the line of duty, a family crisis, or extraordinary need. Members can request assistance inside the member portal.

TSTA supports our members and events they’re passionate about. Our organization provides sponsorships for commissioned officer and retiree events, such as qualification shoots, officer memorial fundraisers, and fundraisers for officers and families of officers affected by a critical incident or crisis.
